Tanzanite

Tanzanite is found in one mine in the Merelani Hills in Tanzania and it is a distinctive violet blue colour. As you turn Tanzanite in the hand blue, violet and straw yellow colours are visible – we call this multi coloured property ‘pleochroism’.
